He quickly advanced through the Detroit system making it to triple-A Toledo of the International League by the end of 2008, his third full pro season. Rhymes made his Major League debut on July 25, 2010 with Detroit and appeared in 54 games that season for the Tigers batting .304. Rhymes was born April 1, 1983 in Houston.
