He quickly advanced through the Detroit system making it to triple-A Toledo of the International League by the end of 2008, his third full pro season. John Cialone went 0 for 1 in Villanova's 7-3 loss to on Thursday. Cialone graduated from Street . John's High School in 2010.

Cialone is a 2010 graduate of St. John's High School where he earned four varsity letters on the diamond and set the school's career home run record with 29 round trippers. He was team captain his junior, 2008-2009, and senior, 2009-2010, seasons earning team MVP and All-Southwest Preparatory Conference honors both years. He combined to bat .387 in 56 games as a junior and senior while recording a .550 on-base percentage and .877 slugging percentage. Prior to his senior season Cialone was one of 16 players named to the preseason all-greater Houston team and earned second-team all-greater Houston honors that season. He earned two invitations to play in the Houston High School Baseball Coaches Association all-star game, and Cialone earned a spot in the 2010 Texas Private Schools all-star game. As a sophomore, 2007-2008, and freshman, 2006-2007, he was tabbed as the team's defensive MVP. Off the field he was a finalist for a National Merit Scholarship as a senior. College Baseball: Tyler Duffie, TCU

Tyler Duffie pitched two innings, striking out one and allowing no earned runs Thursday in TCU's 17-2 win at Air Force. Duffie graduated from Houston Lamar High School in 2009.

A 2009 graduate of Lamar High School, Duffie was a three-time all-district honoree. As a senior, 2008-2009, he went 3-0 on the mound with 20 strikeouts in 18 innings to earn first-team all-district honors and a selection to the all-TASO team. Duffie was a second-team all-district performer as a junior, 2007-2008, going 4-0 with a save and 29 strikeouts in 27 innings of work. Duffie was also a second-team all-district pick as a sophomore, 2006-2007. He was a member of the Sunbelt All-Texas team and played for the Houston Heat.
