HCC exhibit chronicles vintage and 'Steampunk' fashion

Vintage collector Elizabeth S. Brown recently donated a collection of 19th-century gowns to Houston Community College's Fashion Department, some of which are now displayed in the new exhibition Steampunk Chronicles: The Elizabeth S. Brown Fashion Collection.
The exhibition, which runs Aug. 1 to Oct. 31 at 3601 Fannin St., will include both vintage clothing and the hybridization of 19th-century and industrial aesthetic known as "steampunk."
