Author to discuss JFK's space race
John Logsdon will discuss his book John F. Kennedy and the Race to the Moon on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy.
Logsdon, professor emeritus of political science and international affairs at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, will speak on the background to Kennedy’s decision to send Americans to the moon and how the president and his administration implemented the decision.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. at Rice University’s Baker Hall's Kelly International Conference Facility, located at 6100 Main St.
