Robotics team visits Rice University engineering classroom

Lanier Middle School students visited the engineering classroom of Dr. James McLurkin at Rice University on Feb. 24.

Lanier Middle School students visited the engineering classroom of Dr. James McLurkin at Rice University on Feb. 24.

On that day, 22 members of Paulette Bogert's robotics team met with McLurkin and one of his students to learn how robots are used in research.

Before the class, the students talked with a Rice student about life as an engineering student and why he chose to attend Rice.
