West U. resident wins dermatology award
Ronald Rapini, of West U., recently received the 2012 Founders Award for the American Society of Dermatopathology for his contributions to the field.
Ronald Rapini, of West U., recently received the 2012 Founders Award from the American Society of Dermatopathology for his contributions to the field.
Rapini is the chair of the dermatology department at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
The award was given at the 49th annual meeting of American Society of Dermatopathology, which was held in Chicago.
Rapini is involved with patient care, teaching and clinical research. He has authored or co-authored numerous publications from textbooks to academic articles. He has been president of American Society of Dermatopathology and is currently a member of its board.
