Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston seeking volunteers for Thanksgiving Meals on Wheels
Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston is seeking volunteers for the group's Meals on Wheels on Thanksgiving Day program from 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 22 at First Presbyterian Church.
"This season is a time to be thankful for what we have and give back to others," said Denise Atkerson, director of volunteer services at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, in a press release. "The homebound Meals on Wheels seniors in need of a Thanksgiving meal are those that will not be with family that day. Volunteers not only bring a traditional turkey dinner, but also a friendly face on the holiday."
Advance registration is required.
First Presbyterian Church is at 5300 Main St., Houston.
