West U athletes in action: Women's Volleyball

The following women's volleyball player with a West U high school tie has scheduled action this week:

Blair Bashen, Purdue University
High school: St. John's High School
This week: Saturday, Nov. 10, at Nebraska College
About Bashen: At St. John's, Bashen was a three-year letter-winner in volleyball. She was named All-Conference each of last two years and led the team in blocks during her sophomore campaign. She was a team captain her senior year for the volleyball and basketball teams, in addition to being a four-year varsity starter in basketball. Bashen garnered the Athletic Excellence Award for basketball after her junior year and was a two-time letter-winner in track and field. She also was a varsity cheerleader for two years. Bashen is the daughter of Janet and Stephen Bashen. She is majoring in computer science.
