Deacons of Deadwood makes donation to Workshop Houston
Deacons of Deadwood recently donated $10,000 to Workshop Houston, a nonprofit organization that provides children with creative, technical and educational resources.
The motorcycle group rode together to present the check.
The money was raised from the auction of a bicycle built by Participants of Workshop Houston.
"We're honored to have an opportunity to meet these amazing young people who built such a beautiful bike and we're inspired by their work," said Steve Lamb, Deacons of Deadwood president, according to a press release. "Workshop Houston is an incredible organization and we're happy to be able to support them."
Founded in 2002, Deacons of Deadwood is a group of leather-wearing motorcycle enthusiasts. Members ride thousands of miles every year and are firmly committed to raising money for local children's charities.
