Traffic stop in West U leads to arrest
An individual was arrested by the West University Police Department at 3:50 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16 after a traffic stop on the 5500 block of Weslayan in West University.
The individual was charged with one count of driving with a suspended license.
According to the West University Police Department, "An officer conducted a traffic stop for expired registration on a vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had a suspended driver's license and no valid insurance. The driver was arrested for driving while license invalid, a class b misdemeanor. The driver also had an open assault warrant."
