Fraud reported in the 5800 block of Charlotte Street

The West University Police Department is investigating a recent incident involving fraud that occurred in the West University Place area.

The incident was reported in the 5800 block of Charlotte Street Nov. 20.

According to a news release from the police, "An officer was dispatched in reference to fraud and met with the victim who advised that someone used his personal identifying information to open credit accounts without his permission. The officer obtained the available information in order to complete the report."
