TSU graduate student named Outstanding Masters Student of the Year
Texas Southern University graduate student Chelse Hoover accepts her award from representatives of the Southwest Region University Transportation Center.
Texas Southern University graduate student Chelse Hoover was honored with the 2012 Naomi W. Led Outstanding Masters Student of the Year award by the Southwest University Transportation Center.
According to a university press release, the SWUTC presented Hoover with a plaque and $1,000. The center annually awards one accomplished masters student attending from either Texas A&M University, the University of Texas at Austin or Texas Southern University.
Hoover, who is pursing a master's degree in Science in Transportation Planning and Management, is currently conducting research with Dr. Lei Yu on vehicle specific power characteristics in the areas of Houston, Galveston and Brazoria and will present her findings at the 2013 Transportation Research Board annual meeting in Washington, D.C. in January.
