Rover Oaks Pet Resort and Natural Pawz joined forces throughout November on a fundraising drive to raise money and awareness for PAWS Houston.
According to a Rover Oaks Pet Resort and a Natural Pawz press release, "Rover Oaks’ Houston, Rover Oaks Katy, and 10 Natural Pawz locations collected donations for PAWS Houston from Thursday, Nov. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 22. The collaboration between Rover Oaks and Natural Pawz served as a great way to help a unique charity in Houston, while also educating the community about the services the charity provides."
"Our objective was to help PAWS Houston ensure that their clients can keep their companion pets without making potentially life-threatening sacrifices," said Steve Smith of Rover Oaks Pet Resort, according to the release.
The event raised $5,000 for PAWS Houston.
"“Our clients are people who face many losses — health, employment, and sometimes support of family and friends," said Donna Dishman, executive director of PAWS Houston, according to the press release. "By helping our clients keep their animals, we help them keep at least one part of the life they enjoyed."
Rover Oaks Pet Resort is at 2550 W. Bellfort, Houston.
