Skeeter's Mesquite Grill, Adair Kitchen staff to participate in Chevron Houston Marathon

Several staff members from Skeeter's Mesquite Grill and Adair Kitchen restaurants will compete in the 2013 Chevron Houston Marathon to be held Sunday, Jan. 13.

According to a restaurant release, race participants will include Roberto Ozaeta, corporate chef, Ronnie Hallenberger, director of business development, and Ciro Arriga, manager of Skeeters Mesquite Grill.

"For me, running helps clear my head, and helps me deal with the stress of running ten kitchens across the city," said Ozaeta, who recently competed in Rock 'n' Roll San Antonio Marathon, in the release.

Hallenberger, who will be competing in the Houston Marathon for the second time and is currently training with Houston Fit, has previously ran in the New York City Marathon, Marine Corp. Marathon in Washington D.C. and the Chicago Marathon.

"Running a marathon is something that most people cannot do without training," Hallenberger said in the release. "I enjoy setting the personal goal of finishing the run, working at it and hopefully accomplishing my goal of finishing the marathon."

In addition to staff members participating in the race, both restaurants will have heated tents set up outside and will provide spectators with food. Skeeters Mesquite Grill, 5529 Weslayan St., will offer a breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to noon and Adair Kitchen, 5161 San Felipe St., will offer brunch from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
