Houston ISD elementary schools' lunch menu for the week of Jan. 28 is as follows:

Monday, Jan. 28: Turkey and cheese slider, sliced turkey breast and low-fat American cheese, roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli and diced pears

Tuesday, Jan. 29: Whole-grain hamburger served on a whole-grain bun, whole-grain sloppy Joe, cucumber slices, fries and diced peaches

Wednesday, Jan. 30: Layered with seasoned beef and queso, whole-grain chicken soft taco, steamed carrots, charro beans and mixed berries

Thursday, Jan. 31: Pasta in a homemade marinara sauce served with beef meatballs, whole-grain cheese pizza, green beans, steamed corn and mixed fruit

Friday, Feb. 1: Whole-grain chicken, corn dog, baked chicken hot dog in acorn bread crust, whole-grain fish with cheese, steamed peas, steamed carrots and orange wedges
