Exhibition to open at Museum of Fine Arts on Jan. 31
An exhibition called Princes and Paupers: The Art of Jacques Callot will be on display from Thursday, Jan. 31 through Sunday, May 5 at The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, it was recently announced.
According to a press release from the Museum of Fine Arts, "The exhibition displays the detailed work of Jacques Callot (1592-1635), a master printmaker who created more than 1,400 prints throughout his career. Callot's etchings reveal his fascination with a broad range of subjects, from courtly pageants and theatrical comedies to the atrocities of war; from saints and nobles to dwarfs, Gypsies and beggars."
The Museum of Fine Arts is at 1001 Bissonnet St.
